A scheme to build a 66-bed care home on the coast has been recommended for approval by planners.
On Wednesday (July 12), Great Yarmouth Borough Council's development control committee will discuss an application to erect the care home on a parcel of land behind Toby Carvery and Travelodge on Gorleston's Beacon Park.
The proposed development will be accessed via a new access from Guinevere Road leading directly into a car parking area.
Documents submitted by Leeds-based LNT Care Developments show an L-shaped building in red brick with a grey roof arranged over three storeys.
There will be 21 parking spaces including two disabled ones and two electric charging points.

The care home, for people aged over 65, would be be staffed 24/7, operating a shift pattern style of working, but would have no resident staff.
In a report prepared ahead of this week's meeting, planners say the location, approximately 600m from the James Paget hospital, would "clearly benefit residents in terms of providing immediate access to healthcare".
"There is, however, a lack of more day-to-day services available that would be available were the site better located to Great Yarmouth or Gorleston Town Centres," they add.

According to the report, the site has unsuccessfully been marketed as an employment site for more than ten years - but planners say the current proposal would generate from 50 to 60 full and parttime jobs.
Other reasons for approving the bid were that it would provide "a much-needed care home facility with good access to the hospital", would not be a disruptive development once in use and could encourage associated business to the area.
"Overall, it is considered that, on balance, the principle of development should be viewed as being acceptable despite there being some conflict with the development plan," planners said.
