A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in Norwich city centre.

Officers were called to the collision, in St Stephens Street, at about 6.50pm on Saturday (July 8).

Closures were put in place along Red Lion Street and St Stephens Street while police dealt with the incident.

A spokesman for Norfolk police has confirmed a man has been taken to hospital.

"He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening," said the spokesman.
