The sister of National Lottery winner Michael Carroll has died after suffering a cocaine-related cardiac arrest.

An inquest opened on Friday into the death of Zoe Carroll, 43, from King's Lynn, who died in her home in the town in May.

It heard that Miss Carroll was found dead in her property in Metcalfe Avenue on May 4, having last been seen by her mother on April 26.

The medical cause of her death was given as cardiac arrest due to the use of cocaine.

Her brother, Michael, a former refuse collector, won £9,736,131 in November 2002 at the age of just 19.

It has been previously reported that Mr Carroll gave £1m of his fortune to Miss Carroll, who was his older sibling.

During the short hearing, area coroner Yvonne Blake told the court Miss Carroll was not in work at the time of her death and that she had died at her home address.
