Jurors have been sent out to consider verdicts in the case of a former police officer accused of rape and assaults.
The jury of seven men and four women have been hearing evidence in the trial of Jason Corley, 42, at Norwich Crown Court.
Corley, who had been based at Sizewell in Suffolk working for the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC), has been charged with four offences, including rape and two of causing actual bodily harm (ABH).
It is said Corley, of Oaklands, Framingham Earl, near Poringland, committed the offences against a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, between August 2020 and February 2021.
Andrew Thompson, prosecuting, said Corley assaulted and raped the woman on September 12, 2020.
In another alleged assault, on September 26, 2020, Mr Thompson said Corley got "very angry" and "grabbed her throat" and "strangled" her.
But Corley, who is represented by Michael Clare, said the allegations against him were "not true".
On Thursday (July 6) jurors were sent out to consider verdicts in the case by Judge Andrew Shaw at 3.20pm.
Corley has denied all offences.
The trial continues.
