Tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to the city's independent shopping district for the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre 2023.

The annual event is organised by the Norwich Lanes Association and it is part of the Lord Mayor's Weekend celebrations.

What is the date and timings for the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre 2023? 

The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre is on Sunday, July 9 from 11am until 5pm.

What can I expect at the event and is there free entry?

There is free entry and it will take place across the Norwich Lanes.

This is what is going on in the different areas: 

St Benedicts Street - A market with local stalls and a street food court

Bridewell Alley - A pop-up art market

Pottergate and Charing Cross - A vintage flea market

Exchange Street - A Jarrold Store Folk market

Upper St Giles Street - A street party 

Norwich Arts Centre - Live bands and solo artists 

There will also be 10 different DJ collectives at various locations.

Will there be food and drink available?

Many of the businesses in the Norwich Lanes will have stalls outside offering delicious local food and drink.

This includes a barbecue outside fine dining restaurant Benedicts, with prosecco, beer, cookies and doughnuts too, and open fire restaurant Brix and Bones will be smoking up a storm outside St Margaret’s Church in St Benedicts Street.

What else is happening across the Lord Mayor's Weekend 2023?

There is a jam-packed programme across the city centre from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9.

This includes the colourful procession on Saturday at 3pm from Surrey Street to Norwich Cathedral and The Great Norwich Duck Race at 2pm on Sunday at Riverside.
