ITV's This Morning filmed live from Gorleston beach

Gorleston was the filming location for Josie Gibson as the ITV daytime programme took a look at why it was named the best beach in the country.

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle were held in the dark over the destination, as Josie kept the location a mystery.

The Travellers' Choice Awards for 2023 named Gorleston among the top spots in Europe, coming twelfth in a list of the top 25 beaches and claiming the top spot for the UK.

Holly was clueless as to the location but Craig - who had his first-ever job close to where she was standing outside The Pier Hotel - had guessed it and said they would be surprised by it.

Once revealed, clips of people on the beach were shown as they talked about their love for the golden sands.

Josie then spoke to Asa Morrison from Visit Great Yarmouth and the owners of The Pier Hotel which featured in the Danny Boyle film Yesterday.

The Banksy artwork of the crane mural on Gorleston seafront was mentioned and Josie grabbed an ice cream before the segment finished.
