With the world's most famous bicycle race starting this weekend, many of us will be inspired to get back on our bikes.

The Tour de France, a 21-stage cycling race across more than 2,000 miles of the French countryside, is kicking off on July 1.

And the Norfolk coast has been named among the UK's most prize-worthy cycle holidays.

PA described Norfolk as "wonderfully slow" with one of the country's "prettiest coastlines".

It praised the county's wildlife, historic sites, sandy beaches and local pubs.

Popular bike trails by the sea include the Coast Cycleway, Peddar's Way and Bittern Line, as well as routes between seaside towns.

Trails elsewhere in the county include Marriott's Way, the Broads, Rebellion Way and the Bure Valley Path.

PA recommended stops to see the "unusual cultural sites" such as Houghton Hall, Little Walsingham and Wells-Walsingham railway.

Also included on the list was Hadrian's Wall, the Caledonian Way and the Great Western Greenway.
