It’s set to be a summer of safari fun at Chantry Place. The Norwich shopping centre has a handful of exciting free events happening throughout the school holidays, including a safari trail, visits from Banham Zoo and Africa Alive, and arts and crafts sessions with local company SchooDoodle.

It also has a plethora of shops, restaurants and cafes for visitors to enjoy, making it the place to be for a family day out this summer.

From Saturday, July 22 to Sunday, September 3, Chantry Place will be home to 10 amazing animal sculptures, including a lion, elephant, hippo and giraffe.

The free Safari Summer trail involves an adventure to track the animals and have a chance of winning incredible prizes, including annual passes to Banham Zoo and Africa Alive.

Goody bags will also be gifted and include a ‘kids go free’ ticket as well as other treats.

Every Wednesday from July 26, visitors can take part in ‘Wild Wednesdays’, which include free arts and crafts sessions for visitors to book their children onto. The activities change every week and include creating a lion’s mane and a bird of prey mask.

Banham Zoo and Africa Alive will be hosting educational activities that include a discovery station and zoo-related puzzles and games.

Norfolk Wildlife Trust will also be visiting on select days in August – educating visitors on urban wildlife and hosting fun, free activities.

Chantry Place has several global and local brands, including Zara, Lisa Angel, H&M, Moda in Pelle, Urban Outfitters and Boots – perfect for all those summer essentials.

It also has a range of delicious cafes and restaurants, such as Wagamama, The Real Greek, Costa and GBK, many of which offer outside dining so visitors can soak up the sunshine.
