From a huge airshow with the Red Arrows to a festival celebrating Thai food and culture, there are lots of things to do in Norfolk this summer.

Here are some of the biggest events running in the county in July 2023.

1. Vintage Transport Weekend and Vintage Week, Sheringham and Holt

Where: North Norfolk Railway, Sheringham. NR26 8RA/Holt, NR25 6QR

When: July 1-9 

Price: All-day rover ticket - adults: £18.50, children (3-15): £13.50, nnrailway.co.uk/vintage

Vintage Week takes place across the North Norfolk Railway route, with its magnificently-restored Victorian carriages in action for all nine days.

On Saturday, July 1, historic coaches and buses will be at Holt Station, with passengers able to travel on selected vehicles. 

On Sunday, July 2, the buses at Holt will be joined by more than 300 classic cars, lorries and vans and there will also be vintage motorbikes at Sheringham and vehicles from the North Norfolk Minors Club at Weybourne.

2. Lord Mayor's Weekend, Norwich

Where: Across Norwich city centre 

When: July 7-9

Price: Free

The Lord Mayor's Weekend returns to Norwich city centre in July, with the colourful procession at 3pm on Saturday, July 8 going from Surrey Street to Norwich Cathedral.

There will be entertainment on stages at both City Hall and Chapelfield Gardens on Saturday and on Sunday the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre is from 11am until 5pm and the Great Norwich Duck Race is at 2pm at Riverside.

3. Festival Too, King's Lynn

Where: Tuesday Market Place, King's Lynn, PE30 1JJ

When: June 30, July 1, 7 and 8 

Price: Free 

This free music festival is back in King's Lynn and after its first weekend in King's Staithe Square it moves to the Tuesday Market Place for the next two weeks.

Acts performing include Neville Staple, Example, Liberty X, D:Ream, From The Jam, Newton Faulkner and Feeder.

4. Magic of Thailand Festival, Norwich

Where: Earlham Park, Norwich, NR4 7TQ

When: July 15-16, 10am-7pm 

Price: Aged 15+: £5, accompanied under 15s: free, magicofthailand.co.uk 

The Magic of Thailand Festival returns to Norwich this summer and it is moving from Eaton Park to Earlham Park.

The festival will start with a traditional food offering to Buddhist monks and throughout the weekend there will be authentic dishes to try, music and dancing, Muay Thai boxing and the I’m British, Get Me Out of Here! eating competition.

5. HaHa Farm Food and Drink Festival, Strumpshaw

Where: Hemblington Road, Blofield, NR13 4AH

When: Saturday, July 15-Sunday, July 16: 1pm-9pm 

Price: Free entry and parking

Enjoy all the fun of the farm as this popular event returns with added craft stalls for 2023, with live music and children's activities to keep everyone entertained.  

The stalls will include Fancy Jacks with flapjacks, Elsie's Pizza, The Bucket List serving loaded fries, Green Wave Coffee, Doxi Cocktails, Moorend Moisturisers and The Creative Cactus Company with eco-friendly homewares.

6. Norwich Pride, Norwich

Where: Norwich city centre 

When: July 29, march at 1pm 

Price: Free

Norwich Pride returns for its 15th year, with the march leaving City Hall at 1pm and it ends in Chapelfield Gardens, where there will be entertainment all day. 

Highlights during the afternoon in the park include RuPaul's Drag Race star Just May and Queer-E-Oke.

7. Old Buckenham Airshow

Where:  Old Buckenham Airfield, Abbey Road, Old Buckenham, NR17 1PU

When: July 29-30, 8.30am-5pm 

Price: Day tickets - adults (16+): from £32.50, children (12-16): from £16.25, under 12s free, book at oldbuckenhamairshow.com

The Old Buckenham Airshow returns for its biggest year yet, with a jam-packed programme both in the sky and on the ground.

There will be 20 displays each day and the highlights include three electric aircraft and the Red Arrows will wow the crowd on Saturday, July 29.
