A dangerous Harris Hawk that went missing from owners in Dereham has been sighted across the county.

Tuck, the escapee bird of prey, went missing from owner Jim Gordon's house on Saturday, May 13 and is suspected to be nesting in Neatherd Moor.

However, there have been sightings of the predator across Norfolk, with one man seeing him on children's play equipment in a Salhouse park - and hand-feeding it with meat from his kitchen.

Mr Gordon said: "Loads of people have seen him around the area, but he's not going to come back now - he will be feeding off wildlife in the area and hunting free. He's used to the outside now".

The bird was seen yesterday (Tuesday, June 20) in Salhouse by Graham Cassie, who said: "It wasn't frightened of us at all, it had an enormous wingspan and was brown. My next-door neighbour said he'd never seen anything like it - we've even managed to give him some food".

Harris Hawks breed in the southwestern United States and South America.

Their carnivorous diet consists of small creatures including birds, lizards, mammals, and large insects.
