From superheroes to pirate ships, themed go-karts will return to a north Norfolk village after four years away due to the pandemic.

The Mundesley Soapbox Derby returns on Saturday, July 1 2023 and it is organised by the 1st Mundesley Air Scouts, with money raised going towards renovating its hut in Gimingham Road.

The fun will begin at 11am in Gold Park with games and stalls and the races will start along the High Street at 1pm, with a road closure in place.

There are seven race categories in total which are under 8s, under 11s and under 14s, which are £5 to enter, senior men, senior women, adult and child and wielded bike, which are £10 a team.

There will be medals for first, second and third place in each race.

Entry forms are available in the village at The Porthole, Tesco Express, Premier and Country Pickings, which should be handed back to Country Pickings when filled in.
