A family-run cafe is planning to open its doors once more after taking a hit during the cost of living crisis.

Swaffham Café plans to reopen in its namesake town in July, after being closed for three months while struggling with a huge energy bill hike.

The cheap and cheerful establishment has not only been a staple in the town but regularly attracts people from further afield.

They hope to reopen this week (Monday, June 19) with owner Oruc Sarilmaz saying: "We are so grateful to our customers for standing by us and showing their support during this difficult time for us as a family business.

"We are delighted to be reopening and we look forward to seeing you all". 

Offering great quality food and providing a friendly atmosphere for locals - the cafe's hiatus has impacted many.

Ivor and Neil, tradesmen from Norwich, said: "We love the breakfasts at Swaffham Cafe so much that we travel from Norwich to have some food before we start the day - it's our favourite place in the county to get a full English".
