A woman has described how she was twice held by the back of the neck by a man in two rapes he is alleged to have committed against her.

The complainant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was one of two women allegedly raped by 29-year-old Ryan Hase.

Hase has gone on trial at Norwich Crown Court having been charged with rape and assault by penetration against one of the women, between March and May 2011.

Hase, of Bentley Way, near Mile Cross Lane, Norwich, has also been accused of two counts of rape against another woman, between January and December 2015.

On Thursday (June 15) jurors heard the second complainant give evidence about the two alleged rapes in 2015.

She told officers on the first occasion Hase had asked her for sex but she said "no".

But he "just came over grabbed me by the neck and pushed me to the bed".

She was face down and had told him to "get off me" but he kept "holding me down".

The complainant said she was saying "stop it" but he carried on while "the whole time holding the back of my neck".

She said the second rape happened near to a bridge in Norwich when he "held me by the back of the neck and held me down".

"He pulled my trousers down and I was saying no".

She told officers she had said "don't do this" but "then he had sex with me" although he "didn't finish because he heard some people coming past"

The jury of eight men and four women have previously heard from prosecutor Robert Bryan the first allegation of rape happened while Hase and the complainant were both 17.

Mr Bryan said Hase had been "trying to engage her in sexual activity" before going on to rape her and later saying she had to "come to peace with it".

Hase has denied all four offences.

The trial continues.
