Two barns could be demolished and replaced by five new homes - two of which would be permanent residences.
Developer R2 has applied for planning permission for the scheme on Ringstead Road at Thornham, near Hunstanton.
A design and access statement says: "This full planning application seeks the removal of two large detached barns and the creation of a small, residential development of five houses with associated parking, gardens, landscaping and access road.
"Two of these houses are intended to be offered as principal dwellings, a proposal which is fully supported by Thornham Parish Council after direct consultation.

"The ambition for the village is to have homes lived in permanently and that complement the immediate location in the village, the existing Manor Farm Cottages adjacent and the new five dwellings as a coherent style of the local vernacular."
There are concerns at the growing number of second homes and holiday lets on the north Norfolk coast.
The statement adds the barns are "unsightly" and stand on the gateway into the village.
