Independent businesses in Great Yarmouth have been put in the spotlight as part of a new photography exhibition.
People from businesses including Yarmouth Stores, Norman's Furnishings and the marketplace have been immortalised as works of art as part of a new exhibition by photographer Tommy Lee Grimmer.
The exhibition, called The Independents, is one of two photography exhibits currently on display at the Primeyarc art gallery inside Market Gates shopping centre.
For the past five months Mr Grimmer, 23, has been working on the project to highlight independent businesses in the town centre as the high street continues to change.
Mr Grimmer said: "Independent trading is a big part of the town's identity.
"And visiting the current traders brought back a lot of happy memories of when I was growing up.
"With this work, I wanted to do something which helped local businesses and gave them the spotlight."
As part of the project, which contains 20 wall-mounted displays inside the town centre gallery, Mr Grimmer also made smaller postcard-sized prints and gifted them to his subjects.
"I really enjoyed seeing people's reactions when they got their prints," he said.
"It's been great to speak with so many business owners and hear just how much they do for the town."
Mr Grimmer, who is currently studying for an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, said he aims to keep highlighting the "beauty of everyday life".
Primeyarc's photography exhibition runs until Sunday, July 2 and also features work from Norwich-based photographer Barbara Laws. Her work contains a collection of her images taken in Nottingham in the late 1970s, as well as new photos documenting her encounters with people from the streets in the town.
Pimeyarc art gallery is open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between noon and 4pm. For more information, visit originalprojects on Facebook.
