Firefighters spent 30 minutes putting out a blaze in Thetford forest which was sparked by a barbecue.
The alert was raised at 14.48 on Friday and crews from Thetford and Brandon were sent out.
They used hoses and a 'misting unit' to put out the flames.
A spokesman for Norfolk fire and rescue service said: "Thankfully our crews managed to stop the fire spreading and causing serious damage to Thetford Forest.

"Please avoid using portable barbecues in open spaces, especially whilst the weather is so hot and dry".
The extent of the damage was shown in photos taken by the fire and rescue service, with a sizeable patch of ground scorched by the blaze and the remains of the barbecue in the centre.
