A ribbon-cutting ceremony has been held to open a new Domino's takeaway in Swaffham.

The new branch has opened in the former TSB Bank in Market Place and has brought 30 jobs to the area including in management roles and pizza makers.

It is the new venture for local franchise partner Alok Yadav, who enrolled on the Domino’s Homegrown Heroes programme more than two years ago.

The programme offers current and former Domino’s employees the opportunity to own a Domino's store and become part of its franchisee system.

He said: "To be able to open the Swaffham store with my family by my side is an amazing feeling, after having lived in the nearby area for almost 10 years.

"We have been blown away by the warm welcome we have received from everyone, including all our new team members in store."

During its opening week, £1 of each £9.99 large pizza sale will go to a local charity, Break, in support of the community.
