Golf fans are pondering how to improve a putting green following its sale to Sheringham Town Council.
The council has just bought Beeston Hills Putting Green on Cliff Road from North Norfolk District Council for £15,000.
The town council said the sale would “protect the land as a putting green for generations to come”.
Sarah Peberday, Sheringham’s town clerk, said: “Our role as the town council is to act as custodians of all town council-owned assets like these putting greens for our community.
“The purchase of the Beeston Hills Putting Green was a key milestone for us.
“Now that the purchase has been confirmed we wanted to share this with the wider residents of Sheringham, and to those visitors who enjoy the attraction and its exceptional views.”
Mrs Peberday said a strategy group has been created to review what was needed to improve the green’s surface, fencing, grounds and building.
Anyone who wants to share their views about the green can email info@sheringhamtowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01263 822213.
