Work on a new £3.4m electricity substation is almost complete, with the power set to help support the creation of almost 2,000 jobs.
The substation is intended to address issues surrounding a lack of electricity capacity in Snetterton, on the A11 tech corridor, which has held back the employment area from reaching its full potential.
It is hoped the scheme, which has been spearheaded by Breckland Council, will help create 1,750 jobs.

It will provide an additional six-mega-volt amps (MVA) to Snetterton Heath, in addition to the site’s existing 3MVA - which is currently at full capacity.
At a Breckland cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the council agreed on its policies for how it would sell or allocate the power.

To be considered, businesses must show that they are creating new jobs and investment, or, through a direct payment to the council - set at £227,658 per MVA.
Paul Claussen, the cabinet member for economic development, said Snetterton has been identified as one of the "highest potential areas" for new jobs and investments in the area, with power being the greatest barrier.
