Plans have been revealed to open a new Domino's branch in Downham Market as the pizza chain continues to expand across Norfolk.

In an application submitted to West Norfolk Council, Domino's has put forward proposals for a takeaway at the site of a former funeral directors in Bridge Street.

The plans show the eatery would be primarily for takeaway trade, with space for six seats inside.

The proposed business would operate between 11am and 11pm daily and generate a number of full-time and part-time local employment opportunities.

The existing shopfront would be replaced with a new aluminium shopfront finished in a dark grey colour and clear glass windows to present a fully open frontage.

This year, three new Domino's branches have opened in Norfolk - Attleborough, Swaffham and Watton.

The sites in Attleborough and Swaffham are in former bank branches.
