A new swap-and-sell clothing shop will soon be opening its doors this summer.

Ellie's Boutique and Dress Agency is aiming for a June 12 launch, specialising in stocking preowned special occasion attire, designer labels and high street casual clothing.

The new business will be operating on a dress agency basis, according to owner and manager Kathryn Healey, 50, who said the model gives clients a "wider audience for the sale of their items and offering a higher chance of a sale".

"We also operate a donate and swap service so customers can bring in up to 10 items and swap for points to spend in-store," she said.

The new shop will be opening in Bungay's Upper Olland Street and will also stock evening wear, men's, women's and children's clothes, accessories, and shoes.

"So far, we've had so many queries," Kathryn said. "There is a void for this sort of thing in town.

"We want to provide a service that everybody can take advantage of and not priced out of people's reach."
