A woman died hours after being sent home from an out of hours GP service following treatment for injuries she suffered in a fall, an inquest has heard.
Julia Hunt, 63, died at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston on May 16 from injuries including a bleed on the brain.
An inquest opening heard her death came after she had been admitted to the hospital after collapsing just hours after she had been seen by the out of hours GP service, also located at the James Paget.
The retired sales assistant, of Beccles Road, Gorleston, had suffered a fall while visiting a friend on May 15, Norfolk Coroner's Court was told.

Opening the inquest, Norfolk assistant coroner Samantha Goward said: “She was taken to hospital to be checked but was discharged without a scan.
“She was found unresponsive the same day and returned to hospital but did not recover and died on May 16.”
The court was told a post mortem had found her cause of death was partly the result of traumatic injuries and cerebral haemorrhage.
The assistant coroner said reports had been requested from the hospital into the circumstances surrounding Mrs Hunt’s death.
The inquest was adjourned until December 5.
