A Norfolk scaffolder died after falling from a roof in an accident being investigated by health and safety inspectors.
Alan Nimmo, 57, from King’s Lynn, suffered multiple injuries in the accident and later died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
An inquest into his death opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Monday heard been transferred to the specialist hospital in Cambridgeshire but despite treatment his condition had deteriorated and he died on May 10.
Assistant coroner Samantha Goward said he had died as the result of multiple trauma injuries due to a fall from a roof.
A Health and Safety Executive investigation is underway into the circumstances of the accident that Mr Nimmo, whose occupation was given as steel erector and who lived at Harecroft Terrace, King’s Lynn, but was originally from Falkirk in Scotland.
Ms Goward said the coroner’s office had requested a statement from both the police and the HSE and was awaiting the outcome before an inquest could be held.
A pre-inquest review hearing has been scheduled to be held on September 12.
