Part of a major route through Norwich is closing for 11 days tomorrow.

The closure on Dereham Road, scheduled from Monday, May 22 until Thursday, June 2, will be in place for Norfolk County Council sewer development works.

The westbound lane will be closed from its junction with Grapes Hill to its junction with Douro Place.

The diversion route being put in place will be via Barn Road, Grapes Hill, Convent Road, Unthank Road, Earlham Road, Farrow Road and Guardian Road.

The diversion route for HGVs will be via Grapes Hill, Chapefield Road, St Stephens Road, Newmarket Road, Mile End Road, Colman Road, Farrow Road, Guardian Road and Dereham Road.

Elsewhere, the Martineau Lane slip road near County Hall is also set for an evening closure next month, from its junction at its junction with the A146 Loddon Road.

Carriageway surfacing works have been proposed to take place between 7pm and 11pm on June 8 or 9.

Signs will be in place indicating the closure, with an alternative route planned using Martineau Lane, Barrett Road and the A146 Loddon Road.
