A Gorleston family will be celebrating twelve years of dedicating their lives to bringing smiles to other people's faces.

In May 2011, then-six-year-old Tia Hutchinson started making bracelets, necklaces, earrings and key rings to raise funds for children with cancer.

Since then, the Hutchinson family have been fundraising for local causes and spreading positive messages through random acts of kindness under the name of Tia's Treasures.

On Saturday the group will celebrate its twelfth year with a free-to-attend family fun day at Pop's Meadow on Pavilion Road.

Between 10am and 5pm, the celebratory fundraiser will be supporting Home-Start Norfolk for the second year running, with a meet and greet with princesses and Spiderman, as well as a tombola alongside other family-friendly rides and attractions.

Rides will be token only.

There will be free colouring sheets and crayons as well as lots of Random Acts of Kindness to be found around Pops Meadow including some Glow Worms which change colour and glow in the dark.

Tia's Treasures also supports The Bread Kitchen, where Tia is an animal welfare volunteer and James Paget University Hospital, where mother Lisa is a general volunteer and part of the paediatric epilepsy team.

Tia's Treasures will also be supporting the Ormiston Herman Academy Eco Garden Event which takes place on Saturday, May 27.
