The Norfolk Broads will be lit up once more as the Ludham Illuminated Boat Parade returns with a new route.

The event will take place in the evening of Saturday, September 16 2023 and it is organised by The Friends of St Catherine's Ludham, who first launched it in 2021.

The voluntary group now runs the parade every other year, with Ludham Open Gardens on alternative years, with both raising money for the village church.

The area around the bridge will be a great spot to view the 25 brightly-lit boats as they slowly turn and head back to Womack Water, arriving at 8.30pm.

Bill Grist, one of the volunteers, said: "The 2021 event exceeded our expectations for the numbers attending, so we needed to create a bigger course with many more places to view.

"There are many places to watch from, but the prime position will be on Potter Heigham Bridge itself, which will be closed to traffic."
