The warning is in place across the south of the county, to the west of Norwich.
Heavy downpours are expected, with showers and thunderstorms likely to cause some disruption to travel due to spray, standing water and hail.
Delays to train services are possible, according to the Met Office, and there may be damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes.
