Villagers managed to see off their coronation big lunch and 100 bottles of beer in less than an hour.
Hundreds turned out in the sunshine for the event at North Wootton Village Hall.
"We ran out of food by about 1pm," said village hall management committee chairman Dennis Blackmore.
"We'd got some locally-brewed beer specially made and we got through 100 bottles. Mind you, it is tropical today."
Events at the village hall usually draw plenty of people.
John Marshall-Grint, chairman of North Wootton Parish Council said: "There's still a real village feel here, even though we're on the edge of town."
Next on the agenda is a party in the village park, on June 10 (11am - 4pm), with food, drink and live music, along with children's activities.
There will also be a volunteer day at the village hall on Monday showcasing local groups and activities.
