It was a dramatic day in the council election counts in Norfolk and Waveney, with four councils surrendering overall control.
The Conservatives lost control of Great Yarmouth, Broadland, West Norfolk and East Suffolk on a bruising day for the Conservatives.

The Conservatives lost control of Broadland District Council, with leader Shaun Vincent defeated by Green James Harvey. The Tories lost seven seats, down to 21 from 28, while the Lib Dems gained two to get to 14. Labour gained six, to move to eight seats and the Greens gained two.
