Four Fakenham women are helping to organise a town and village-wide yard sale to support local causes.
Imy Kirk, Tracey Beane, Kate Howlett and Lesley Palmer are bringing the Fakenham and Hempton Community Yard Sale back for the second time on May 21 to raise money for First Focus and Fakenham Parish Church.
So far 50 homes across Fakenham and Hempton have signed up to take part.
Miss Kirk said: “It's a really great day that brings the community together and is nice to be part of a re-use economy which avoids items needing to be recycled or going to landfill.
“There was £1,040 raised last year in aid of the Ukraine Crisis Appeal, we hope the sales will raise a good amount this year through yards signing up.
“The cost of living crisis is affecting everyone, so the yard sale is a nice opportunity to de-clutter and earn a few spare pennies, or find something at a bargain price.”
DATE FOR YOUR DIARY Next Sunday there will be a yard sale in Fakenham to raise funds for Ukraine. Local businesses have also thrown their support behind the event, and Fakenham Prepress Solutions are sponsoring the printing of the maps.
Gatsby's Barbers and Wannabe Hair Salon in Fakenham will also be selling maps in the days leading up to the event, along with Special Moments on Millers Walk.
An online version of the map will be available to download from the Facebook page.
First Focus Fakenham and Hempton Bell are holding hubs on the day, selling maps and refreshments.
For anyone wanting to take part and register their yard can register for a £5 donation online via PayPal, or in person at Special Moments.
