One of the region's largest academy trusts has added a 17th school to its growing empire.
The Inspiration Trust, which runs more than a dozen schools across Norfolk and Waveney, has taken on Queensway Infant Academy and Nursery in Thetford.
It comes after the expanding trust took over another school in the town - Diamond Academy - earlier this year.
Karen Fancourt, principal at the school, said: "As we move into this exciting new chapter, we look forward to continuing our trajectory journey and will continue to provide a safe and inspiring school."
With Inspiration Trust also running Thetford Academy and Thomas Paine Sixth Form, it means the trust now has schools in the town at every level of the education system.
It becomes the latest school to join the trust, which also recently confirmed it had been chosen to run a new school in Cringleford.
Gareth Stevens, its chief executive, said: "Inspiration Trust is delighted to be leading yet another school in Thetford.
"Through Queensway Infant Academy and Nursery joining our trust, the children living in Thetford will be able to experience a continuous curriculum from nursery right through to the age of 18."
