A van found to be transporting equipment used for growing drugs has been seized during a police crackdown.
A total of 37 vehicles were stopped in Thetford on Tuesday (April 25) including cars, light goods vehicles and lorries, for a range of offences such as insecure loads, illegal window tints and improper control.
One van was stopped for having an off-road notice from out of the county and was found to contain equipment used for growing cannabis following a search.
Both occupants, aged in their 20s and 40s, who were travelling in the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of controlled drugs and taken to King’s Lynn police station for questioning.

The vehicle, equipment and a quantity of cash were seized and both men were later bailed.
In total, 20 Traffic Offence Reports were issued to motorists which could result in fines and points on drivers’ licences.
The action came as part of a multi-agency operation designed to reduce "killed and seriously injured" collisions and disrupt organised crime groups operating in Norfolk.
