A Norfolk police officer is facing a disciplinary hearing after a court case over a drunken incident outside a gay nightclub.
PC Jordan Molloy, 27, will appear before a misconduct hearing next month to answer allegations that he breached the expected standards of professional behaviour.
It comes after he was convicted at Brighton & Hove Magistrates’ Court on March 23 of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
That followed his arrest over an incident on November 27 last year outside Club Revenge, one of the biggest LGBTQ+ venues in Brighton.
The misconduct hearing is scheduled to take place on May 9 and will be chaired by chief constable Paul Sanford.
It will determine whether the officer, previously stationed in Downham Market, has failed to uphold expected professional standards for authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.
The possible outcomes at a misconduct hearing are written or final written warnings, reduction in rank, or dismissal without notice.
Two Norfolk officers who were subject of misconduct hearings in the last three months of 2022 would have been dismissed had they not already resigned.
