Drivers wanting to travel southbound will be directed along the A47 before travelling southbound on the A140, and then eastbound on the A1066 towards Thetford to rejoin the A11.
Northbound traffic will be diverted along the A1066 at Thetford, before joining the A140 north towards Norwich.
It will then follow the A47 west, before reaching Thickthorn.
The works come as part of an ongoing £60m project to reconstruct the concrete road surface along the A11 that started in May 2022 and is due to be completed this summer.
