One lane of the A11 has reopened after an earlier incident.
Emergency services were called at 9.50am on Friday to the Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said that a large, dead stag was in the westbound carriageway toward Newmarket.
In an update posted by Mildenhall Police on Twitter, officers confirmed that one lane had been closed due to a "spillage".
Drivers were warned to expect delays.
As of 2.40pm, all lanes had reopened.
