With the temperature finally rising, much-loved street food businesses have reopened along the Norfolk coast for the 2023 season. 

From burritos to loaded fries, here are some of the best food trucks and kiosks to visit this year that remain in the same location.

These places are perfect if you fancy something different from the standard fish and chip shop seaside fare.

1. Guac & Mole, Sheringham 

 

Nestled along Sheringham Promenade, Guac & Mole offers a mouth-watering Tex-Mex menu, including burritos and nacho-topped burgers.

It was first launched in 2021 by Tom Webb and he also has a residency at the newly-revamped Ffolkes pub in Hillington, near King's Lynn.

2. Bebe-Rai’s, Scratby

 

Chad Avery took on the catering unit opposite California Cliffs Holiday Park in Scratby two years ago and it is named after his daughter.

Customers travel for many miles to visit the kiosk, which offers loaded fries, burgers, doughnuts, ice cream and milkshakes.

3. Birdys Bakehouse, Blakeney

 

Dad and daughter duo Gary Arlow and Joely Carter have just reopened their food trailer for the 2023 season at Blakeney Quay.

As well as a range of hot and cold drinks, customers can get breakfast baps, burgers, homemade cakes and much more.

4. Fat Teds, Sheringham 

 

As well as a successful mobile business, going to a range of events across Norfolk, the family-run Fat Teds 'Streat' Food has a permanent shack at Barchams Yard in Sheringham.

The menu includes flatbreads, burgers, 'dirty' fries and salad boxes using Turkish flavours as Cem Oruc, one of the owners, was born there.

5. Seal View Café, Winterton

 

Located in the Beach Road car park, this newly-opened café is the perfect place for a pitstop when visiting the beach or spotting seals. 

The food offering includes Yorkshire puddings filled with all the trimmings and barbecue chicken wings, with a whole host of new desserts just added too.

6. Sarnies by the Sea, Happisburgh

 

Friends Mandy Jallow and Kaye Hookway took on the former Burgers at the Beach kiosk in Beach Road in April last year and gave it a rebrand. 

Located just a stone's throw from the famous lighthouse, sandwiches can be enjoyed on one of the picnic benches or as a takeaway, with homemade cakes on offer too.

7. The Beach Hut, Great Yarmouth 

 

This charming kiosk offers panoramic views across the Golden Mile and it serves burgers, fry-ups, chowder and much more.

It is ideal for a pitstop before a beach day or visiting one of the many attractions along this stretch of the Norfolk coast.
