A much-loved East Anglian bakery chain is set to make waves with the arrival of its latest café in Norfolk. 

Two Magpies Bakery has revealed plans for its ninth branch in Wells-next-the-Sea in a post on social media.

It will open on Monday, May 15 with a 'mini magpie' concept, which will focus more on takeaways than eating in.

The post said: "We’ve been keeping a little secret longer than usual but seeing as it is now the Easter Holidays we thought it was the perfect time to announce our exciting news - our ninth café.

"A ‘mini magpie’ concept but a good sized café right on the quay front in the heart of Wells.

"We can’t wait to open our doors and be a part of this coastal town."

Two Magpies Bakey is owned by Steve Magnall and Rebecca Bishop and started in 2012 in Southwold. 

Fast forward to 2023 and there is also a central bakery and baking school in Darsham and cafés in Aldeburgh, Norwich, Blakeney, Holt, Woodbridge and Beccles across Norfolk and Suffolk.
