A north Norfolk beach will remain closed over the Easter bank holiday weekend following a sewage leak.
The leak which happened on March 19, affected water and beach quality at Mundesley beach.
People have been advised by North Norfolk District Council to avoid the area.
The leak was caused due to an unforeseen failure of an Anglian Water pipe at Mundesley Pumping Station adjacent to the Mundesley Independent Lifeboat Station, which has been repaired.
The council has been working with the water company to monitor water quality around the beach following the leak and sampling is being undertaken to establish the current position.
Sand sampling is also being undertaken on the beach to ensure it is safe for the public to visit.
