Vintage train fans can look forward to a cracking Easter steam celebration at the North Norfolk Railway (NNR).
The attraction has welcomed guest engine No. 34028 ‘Eddystone’, on a short holiday from its home at the Swanage Railway.
Eddystone will form part of the NNR’s 'three steam line-up' for the Easter bank holiday weekend and the Spring Steam Gala on April 14, 15 and 16.
Originally built to work Southern Railway’s express trains, the 1940s-era steam locomotive returned to service at the Dorset-based line in spring 2021, after a three-year overhaul.
It now usually operates between Norden, Corfe Castle and Swanage, but is now to run on the Poppy Line between Sheringham and Holt.

The line is also expecting to have its unique 1920s LNER Quad-Art articulated teak-bodied carriages available for passengers to travel on throughout the Easter weekend.
The set has returned to the line following work at a state-of-the-art engineering facility in Leeds to reprofile its metal tyres.
Younger visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy the railway’s free Easter explorer’s trail, helping Morgan the Railway Cat to decipher clues and save the day.
