A former seaside chip shop is set to be turned into flats.
West Norfolk council has agreed to Arabella Property Portfolio's plans for the building on Le Strange Terrace, in Hunstanton.
They include five new one-bed apartments in the building, next to the Wash and Tope Hotel.
A planning statement said: "The extensions have been carefully designed to be in keeping with the existing building and character of the conservation area.

"The proposal comprised two single-storey extensions, one 3m extension to part of the ground floor and one at first floor over an existing single-storey ground floor element of the building. These small-scale additions were sensitively considered.
"The North Sea can be seen directly from the proposal site, and the beach is only a minutes’ walk away."
Hunstanton Town Council supported the proposals.
A planning officer's report said: "The residential use of the building is a use not only considered acceptable within town centres, but actively encouraged at a national level."
