Cash and knives were among the items stolen after a takeaway business was ransacked in an early morning raid.
The owners of Bombay Spice in Norwich have been left devastated, after an estimated £20,000 worth of damage was caused.
The Bangladeshi and Indian takeaway on St Augustines Street, Norwich was targeted just a couple of hours after it had closed for the night.
A window was smashed, water pipes were damaged, three fires were started and blood was left among a trail of destruction at the family run business.
Chef and owner Kalam Miah, 53, was alerted by residents who live above the business after smoke started rising upstairs.
He arrived about 3am and was soon joined by his son Imran, as they put out the small fires in the front of the business, in the kitchen and at the back of the building.
Mr Miah, 29, said: "Someone smashed into our business leaving thousands of pounds worth of damage.
"It is my dad's business and we were open until 10.30pm on Saturday night.
"We have had the business since 2008, just me and dad.
"At some time between 1am and 3am this morning (Sunday) they have broken in, set fire inside in three places, smashed the back window, stolen money from the till, knives and our machine for orders.
"In the process of the break-in they have left loads of blood everywhere."
Mr Miah estimated that around £20,000 worth of damage had been caused.
"It is making me emotional," he added.
"Its the month of Ramadan, we are fasting and today we were delivering food for the Mosque.
"Now we have to start everything from scratch again as the amount of mess and vandalism caused, well it is awful.
"We are devastated.
"We have to rebuild now out of our own pockets and clean everything."
With police at the scene on Sunday morning, investigations are under way.
