1. Flint Barn Café at Whitlingham Country Park, Trowse
Where: Whitlingham Lane, Trowse, Norwich, NR14 8TR
Take a leisurely circular walk around Whitlingham Great Broad, located on the outskirts of Norwich, and take a pit stop at the 200-year-old Flint Barn.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating, with picnic tables overlooking the water, and a range of breakfast and lunch dishes are served.
You can even buy swan and duck food to feed the many birds that gather there.

2. The Kitchen Café, East Bilney
Where: East Bilney Lakes, NR20 4AL
Lee and Kelly Carver opened the East Bilney Lakes, between Dereham and Fakenham, in 2022 after an 18-month transformation.
As well as being a fishing paradise, customers travel especially to visit its charming rustic café, serving everything from cakes to cooked breakfasts.
3. The Orangery Tea Room, Ketteringham
Where: Ketteringham Hall, Church Road, Ketteringham, Wymondham, NR18 9RS
The Orangery Tea Room is one of Norfolk's most popular spots for afternoon tea and it is set in the stunning grounds of Ketteringham Hall and boasts views of the lake.
Enjoy a cup of coffee or a pot of loose-leaf tea alongside homemade cakes and moreish sweet treats.
4. OB Café, Old Buckenham
Where: Old Buckenham Country Park, Doe Lane, Old Buckenham, NR17 1PP
Visit the OB Café kiosk and sit on one of the picnic benches on the lakeside decking and there is also a new children's play area.
It is a popular place to visit for walking and cycling and it often hosts street food traders in the evenings.

5. The Island Café, Great Yarmouth
Where: The Venetian Waterways, North Drive, Great Yarmouth, NR30 4EW
The Island Boating Lake Café provides a relaxing setting to view one of Great Yarmouth's most popular attractions, serving snacks, coffee and ice cream.
To enjoy the lake from the water you can hire traditional row boats, suitable for four people, or two-person pedalos.
