The owners of popular Punjabi food trucks and a restaurant are shaking up their menus after a culinary adventure in India.

Currylicious was started by Fakenham couple Rita and Rajan Verma in 2018, with the aim to stock their homecooked and low-fat curries locally.

But it has grown much bigger than first planned and they now have a restaurant at Fakenham Racecourse, two catering trailers and frozen meals stocked in 12 Norfolk shops.

The pair recently returned from India where they went to New Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Goa and Kerala in search of authentic street food ideas to bring back to Norfolk.

New dishes they are planning to introduce include a Mumbai-style vada pav, a spicy potato fritter sandwich and a Kerala-style fish fry.

Mr Verma said: "I was blown away by the creativity and passion of the street vendors in India and I knew I had to bring some of that magic back with me.

"I want to share the excitement and joy of Indian street food with our customers and take them on a culinary journey through India."
