Tapas has become all the rage in recent years, with customers swapping main meals for the chance to enjoy a wider variety of dishes.
Norwich has many great restaurants and market stalls offering this style of food, be it traditional Spanish and Portuguese fare or small plates from global cuisines.
Here are seven of the best places in the city to tuck into tapas.
1. Jorge's Tasca
Where: Pivotal House, Orford Yard, Red Lion Street, Norwich, NR1 3TB
Right in the heart of the city centre, Jorge's Tasca is the sister business of neighbouring steak and seafood spot Jorge's Restaurant, with both serving authentic Portuguese dishes.
Tapas is just on the lunch menu in the main restaurant, but at Jorge's Tasca it is served from 2.30pm until late.
The small plates menu ranges from tiger prawns to piri-piri chicken thighs, with vegetarian and vegan options too.
2. Maker's House
Where: 2-4 St Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4AG
Run by the same team behind Hawthorn cocktail bar, Maker's House is a tapas bar taking inspiration from the bistros of France and Spain.
It serves a range of dishes such as pan-fried padron peppers and Iberico ham croquettes alongside an extensive cocktail menu.
3. Copa Cubana
Where: 3 Upper King Street, Norwich, NR3 1RB
Copa Cubana takes customers on a trip to Brazil and Cuba with its range of tapas-style dishes.
The lively venue comes alive at night when the cocktails are flowing, with regular salsa classes on offer for people to practice their dancing skills.
4. The Tipsy Vegan
Where: 68-70 St Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4AR
Nestled among the many thriving restaurants in St Benedicts Street, Tipsy Vegan offers world-inspired small plates and sharing boards.
All plant-based and with a regularly changing menu, dishes range from hoisin 'duck' mushroom pancakes to tofu tacos.
5. Churros for the People
Where: Stalls 24 and 25, Norwich Market, Gentlemen's Walk, Norwich, NR2 INA
Here you can enjoy tapas amidst the hustle and bustle of Norwich Market.
Doubling as a Spanish deli, you can also buy a range of ingredients to make authentic Iberian dishes at home.
6. Coach and Horses
Where: 51 Bethel Street, Norwich, NR2 1NR
The Coach and Horses has swapped pub grub for world tapas, offering an extensive menu that can be enjoyed alongside a pint of real ale.
From patatas bravas to salt and pepper squid, there are lots of dishes to try, with gluten-free and vegan options also available.
7. Corkscrew
Where: 60-62 St Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4AR
This cosy bar is run by chef Samuel Beggi, who learnt his trade at Michelin-star restaurants.
Paired with its range of fine wines, Corkscrew has an ever-changing menu that includes small plates like anchovies with sourdough and wild mushroom carpaccio.
Or you can instead order a larger main such as baked Cromer crab or gnocchi.
