An inquest has been opened into the death of a retired secondary school teacher who taught in Norfolk.
Paul Anthony Crocker-Argles, of Townsend Road in Wisbech, died on Sunday, January 8, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
Area coroner, Yvonne Blake, led the opening at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on the morning of Tuesday, March 28.
She said that Mr Crocker-Argles was retired when he died and had previously had a career as a high school teacher.
His goddaughter, Joana Leitao, confirmed that he was born on December 17, 1944, in Crewe, Cheshire.
Following a post mortem examination, the medical cause of death was given as lower respiratory tract infection due to Parkinson's disease and fragility.
He was also diagnosed with diabetes.
Mr Crocker-Argles was aged 78 when he died.
A full inquest to determine the official cause of death is due to take place at 1pm on Wednesday, September 6.
