A murder investigation has been launched after a woman died two days after she was injured by robbers at her home.
Two masked men broke into victim's home in Grayson Avenue, Pakefield, at some point overnight between Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25.
They knocked the woman - who was in her 80s - to the ground and stole a handbag before fleeing, leaving her injured.
She was found lying on the floor of her home at 2pm on Saturday and taken to James Paget Hospital for treatment.
She died in the early hours of Monday, March 27.
Today (March 28), a police spokesman said: "We are investigating this as a murder as we seek to establish the full circumstances surrounding the woman’s death."

There is an increased police presence in Lowestoft this morning with a forensics team at the Grayson Avenue property, reassurance patrols in the area and house-to-house enquiries ongoing.
A police cordon has also been put up at the rear of the property, which leads on to Huntingdon Close and the Pakefield Court retirement complex that consists of one and two-bed bungalows.
