The Pink Moon will light up the night sky this week.
Spectators won't need anything other than themselves to enjoy the moon, though binoculars may give a good close-up look.
It is due to rise at 11.13pm on April 5 and is then due to set at 6.45am on April 6.
This month's moon gets its name not from its colour but by coordinating with the flowers blooming for spring.
Other common names for the April full moon are the Frog Moon and the Sugar Maker Moon.
Don't fret if you miss the full moon on the day, it will remain large for the rest of the week.
The next stages of this month's moon will be the last quarter on April 13 and a new moon on April 20.
If you get a photo of the moon, we'd love to see it. Send your pictures to grace.piercy@archant.co.uk.
