A new Post Office in Sheringham has been officially opened, replacing an interim branch.
North Norfolk MP Duncan Baker and landlady Barbara Barney cut the ribbon together outside the shop.
The Post Office is now in Barneys, Station Road, run by Jigen and Avnisha Patel.
It replaces an interim branch at the community centre.
Mr Patel said: “We know people have been eagerly waiting for a permanent, full-time Post Office again.
"We are delighted to have taken on the shop and now Sheringham Post Office and they will work very well together. We have already seen lots of new customers.
"Sheringham is also busier in the warmer months with tourists and the run-up to Christmas is the busiest time for a Post Office, so it will balance each other out."
MP Duncan Baker said: “It’s great news for Sheringham to have a permanent Post Office again.
"As an MP and former postmaster I know just how important a Post Office is to a community.
"And Jigen and Avnisha are very enthusiastic about serving new Post Office customers."
The Post Office in Station Road is open from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and until 3pm Saturday.
