A terraced house on Stafford Street, in Norwich’s prestigious Golden Triangle, has successfully sold at auction for £192,000 – almost £70,000 above its guide price of £125,000.
Five out of six lots sold at Brown&Co’s latest online auction, which took place on Wednesday, March 22.
The sale also included a bungalow in Brundall, Norfolk, which sold for £268,000 and two parcels of land in Seething, south Norfolk, which sold for over three times their guide prices.
The land and track north of Harveys Lane, a 3.72 acre field down to grass and suitable for grazing, sold for £66,000 – well over its guide of £15,000-£20,000.
Another piece of land, south of Harveys Lane, was also guided at £15,000-£20,000 and sold for £54,000.
Peter Hornor, chartered surveyor and auctioneer, says the firm’s switch to more regular sales is producing “excellent” results for sellers.
“The auction scene has been so exciting over the course of the last three years,” he said. “Whereas we held four to five auctions in-room a year, we are now holding them online every month and they are producing excellent results for our clients.
“There is a scarcity of grazing land and the results show the demand for this, along with the continued demand for quality terrace houses in the Golden Triangle.”
The firm’s next online auction is next week.
