A Norfolk fish and chip shop has been named among the top 50 in the country - while a second was listed in the top 10 restaurants.
The Fry Awards 2023, run by Fry Magazine, selected its top 50 shops and 10 restaurants after making secret visits to hundreds of businesses across the country.
And the award-winning fish and chip shops in Norfolk are in the same parade of shops in Wells-next-the-Sea.
French's Fish Shop was named among the best 50 fish and chip shops and Plattens was included in a list of the top 10 fish and chip restaurants.

Alanna French, the general manager at French's Fish Shop, said: "We're honoured to be included in the list, we had no idea the secret shoppers were coming to rate us so to receive this recognition makes us really proud."
It comes as Platten's is continuing to offer its staff a four-day working week after taking part in a global trial.
Reece Head, competition organiser at Fry Magazine, said: "Once again we’ve had another year where it’s simply got harder to operate a fish and chip business, with rising energy, labour and ingredient costs taking a heavy toll.
“It’s not easy but operators are working harder and smarter, staying ahead of changing tastes and behaviours and adapting accordingly."
